Mission Statement of Jehovah Lutheran Church

A community of joy – gathered around word and sacrament - celebrating, learning & sharing the love of God in Christ Jesus!

Education: Learning the love of God in Christ Jesus!

Children & Youth
Sunday School 10:45 a.m.

(September through May)

Combined Jehovah Lutheran-Mekane Yesus Sunday school at 10:45 a.m. All children and youth from both congregations are welcome.

Adult Bible Class (ABC)

Welcome to Adult Bible Class every Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m. following worship service.

Join us around the table in the lounge for a discussion of the current Daily Readings in the Chronological Bible. Having just read through the birth and life and death and resurrection of Jesus, our readings now center around the work of the apostles in spreading this good news. The readings for the last two months of the year, now in the book of ACTS, will also include the letters from Paul and then conclude with the book of Revelation in late December.

At that point we will have read through the entire Bible this past year.

December 8: The class will meet after Voter's Meeting.
December 15: The class and the CrossingHOME men's Bible study group will meet together in the lounge to hear faith stories from the men and to share a time of fellowship together.

All are welcome.

HOSPITALITY IS FOCUS OF WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Jehovah Lutheran Church continues hosting a women's Bible study on hospitality at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 6 and 20 and Dec. 4 and Dec. 18. The church is at 1566 Thomas in St. Paul.

The focus of the course is hospitality, using the book and DVD "Just Open the Door" by Jen Schmidt from publisher LifeWay Christian Resources of Nashville, Tenn.

Hospitality "is one of the best ways to live out the two greatest commandments: loving God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself," according to the book's website.

Sessions are free and open to all.
